AALTA has been founded Tanima Roy Chowdhury and Shilpa Chakraborty. Their mutual love for  "The Saree" led them to look at creating their own brand which can house variety of textiles and designs under one house. Beautiful designs can be made into an affordable luxury is something that they aim at.
Both of them have been leading a whole encompassing corporate life and have been wearing sarees ever since and  felt the need of being comfortable while wearing this beautiful attire. What matters at the end of the day is how comfortable you are in what you’re wearing and how confident you feel. Their Brand aims at bringing that element of Comfort and Style weaved together.

AALTA symbolizes – indigeneity , new beginning and good luck. Alta is a red dye that is applied to the hands and feet of women, during marriage ceremonies and festivals in the Indian subcontinent.
The brand AALTA aims to bring in a fresh perspective to the attire called Saree. Their tagline being “Wear Your Attitude’ which centres on offering a range of attire blended with modernity and tradition. Each of AALTA textile is handpicked from the master craftsmen around the country and some value addition is made on each piece making a unique experience for someone draping it.
Each of the AALTA designs have been created keeping in mind the fine tradition of our vast and diverse country and its very unique nook and corners. AALTA aims at assisting to find your groove, wearing clothes that represent who you are and be comfortable.
